Mixed Berry Smoothie

Smoothies are good for really everything. Breakfast, Lunch, Dessert or just in between they’re always great. This recipe is nothing special just a basic berry smoothie, as I always do them.
It’s quite heavy for a smoothie so definitely more suitable as full breakfast or lunch.
For Weight Watchers, my Smoothies had 3 points (1 for yoghurt, 1 for milk and 1 for beetroot juice) and I made 2 servings out of it. If you want to add oatmeal and raisins you will be roughly at 6 points

For 2 big smoothies:
1 lb frozen berry mix
1 banana
3 oz soy yoghurt (or ordinary yoghurt)
1 c soy milk (if you want to with vanilla flavour, but I usually use plain milk. Any other kind of milk works too i.e Almond milk is great)
1/4 c beetroot juice (optional just makes colors come through better)
Sweetener (optional)

You need to take the berry mix out of the freezer about 20 – 30 minutes before you prepare the drink. Make sure to use one that does not contain any additional sugar.

Place all the ingredients in a food processor. Process until smooth. You will not need ice cubes for this, because the frozen berries will still cool down the whole drink quite a bit. If you use fresh berries however you may want to use a little less milk and add some crushed ice.

If you want to make a bit more filling, add a hand full of oatmeal and a couple of raisins or cranberries and process only for a couple of seconds. Makes a great nutritious breakfast that way.
