Apple Fritters

I just finished my first week working at Burger King and I absolutely hate it. Can’t wait until summer is over. The amounts of waste only this one store produces is insane. And the food is flabby and gross. I believe I’ll never feel the urge to eat fast food again.
So anyways I decided I should make a couple of “healthy fast food recipes” starting with this one. It’s not really fast to prepare but tastes like (good) fast foo while still being quite healthy.

What you need

4 Apples
2 tbsp cornmeal
juice of 1 lemon
olive oil

Optional:
honey
cinnamon
yoghurt or ice cream

Peel and stone apples. Shred apples and place into a large bowl. Add lemon juice and cornmeal and stir.

Heat oil in a pan. Place small portions of the apple mixture into the pan and flatten them. Fry for about 2-5 minutes before flipping it and fry again for a couple of minutes.

The Fritters will be quite sweet already, but if you want to you can heat some honey in a saucepan. Stir with cinnamon and pout over fritters. Or you can serve it with ice cream or yoghurt and pour the honey mixture over it.
