Zero Point Pasta Napoli

Not really. As you have probably already guessed there is no actual pasta in here. But it looks a bit like that, doesn’t it? And it’s still a great, filling meal.

For 2 – 3 servings

For “pasta”:
1/2 white cabbage
1 teaspoon caraway seed
3 – 4 cups vegetable broth
1 – 2 tbsp mustard

For sauce
1 can peeled tomatoes (or 6 peeled tomatoes with 4 tbsp tomato juice)
2 tbsp tomato paste
3 tbsp chopped basil
2 garlic cloves
1 big onion
3 tbsp Worcestersauce or soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste

Chop cabbage into thin slices. Place into a big saucepan and cover with vegetable broth. Let simmer until soft. Should take about 40 min. Drain off water and toss with caraway and mustard

Chop garlic and onions. Heat Worcestersauce with 3 tbsp of water in a sauce pan. Saute onions in it for roughly 5 min. Add garlic and let simmer for another 5 min. Pour tomatoes and tomato paste into the saucepan and wait until it begins to boil. Constantly stir, so the tomatoes lose their consistence. When it start boiling reduce heat, add basil and taste with salt and pepper.
